Musical Theatre Arts Intern Program

The Musical Theatre Arts intern program provides students with valuable hands-on experience in theatre production, arts education, and collaborative performance work. Interns support the program across a variety of areas including art, dance, music, stage management, and technical production while helping create a positive and engaging experience for younger participants.

Interns play an important role in the success of the program. Younger students benefit from their mentorship and guidance, while interns gain practical experience and professional resume credits through real-world application of skills learned in school programs, theatre productions, and other arts training.

Thanks to funding provided by the Delavan Foundation, TCFA is able to offer scholarships to students, increasing accessibility and enrollment in the program. As participation continues to grow, interns are an essential part of providing the instruction, support, and supervision needed throughout the workshop experience.

Interns begin work one week prior to the start of the two-week Musical Theatre Arts workshop. Hosting the program in TCFA’s newly renovated building allows interns and faculty to prepare within the same spaces where instruction and performances will take place, creating a more organized and collaborative experience for both staff and students.

The program anticipates welcoming 25–30 students each year.
